Newark Golf Club: Rapid Progress and Innovation 

Following the acquisition of Newark Golf Club in July last year, significant advancements have been made to enhance both the course and facilities. These improvements align with our commitment to delivering an exceptional golfing experience while preserving the charm of this historic club. 

Embracing Innovation 

One of the most exciting additions to our maintenance program is the introduction of robotic mowers. These state-of-the-art machines are transforming the way our grounds team operates, allowing them to focus on refining the finer details of the course rather than spending extensive time on routine grass cutting. This investment not only enhances efficiency but also contributes to a more meticulously maintained golf course for our members and guests.

Course Enhancements 

Since acquisition, we have undertaken restoration work on the greens, bunkers, and fairways, which had seen limited maintenance in the three years prior to our acquisition.  

Our dedicated grounds team has been working tirelessly to revive these key elements of the course, ensuring that they meet the high standards expected by members and guests. These improvements have already made a noticeable impact and resulted in positive feedback from the membership base. 

Upgraded Driving Range with Cutting-Edge Technology 

A further major transformation has taken place at our driving range, which has been converted into a full grass range to provide a more authentic practice experience. Additionally, we have installed TrackMan technology, a leading innovation in golf analytics. This cutting-edge system allows players to track ball flight, swing mechanics, and performance data, providing invaluable insights to improve their game. 

Preparing for Clubhouse Renovations 

Beyond the course itself, we are also setting the stage for enhancements to the clubhouse. Preliminary work has begun on internal renovations aimed at modernising the facilities while maintaining the club’s historic charm. These upgrades will create a more comfortable and welcoming environment for our members and visitors as well as adding amenities which will enhance and diversify revenue streams.
